About Ghana News Agency (GNA)
Ghana News Agency (GNA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, result-driven, competent, and dynamic professionals to fill a vacant position as Stores Officer.
Position Overview
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Accra, Ghana
Category: Logistics/Transportation
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal stock availability in stores for user departments
- Ensure proper and timely acquisition of stocks and supplies
- Facilitate real-time stock replacement and acquisition processes
- Issue stocks to various user departments per approved policies
- Ensure timely compilation of invoices and complete data entry before forwarding documents to Accounts
- File all important documents in main store
- Conduct daily physical and system reconciliation of stock
- Take annual stock counts and prepare stock sheets
- Ensure store items are properly arranged and labeled
- Record receipts and issues in bin cards and sign accordingly
- Generate various reports and reconciliations and submit to concerned users
- Take appropriate action for disposal of expired stock per approved procedures
- Attend audits conducted by External Auditors
- Perform any other duties assigned by Superior Officers
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or relevant field
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Member of a professional body such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to work effectively with all categories of employees
