Job Summary

Provide analytics and expertise toward the implementation of proactive anti-fraud responses at MTN Ghana, focusing on combatting cybercrimes and systemic internal and external mobile money frauds. Protect MTN Ghana's customers and operations through comprehensive compliance and fraud mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement models, patterns, and trend analysis to proactively identify mobile money fraud risks and test hypotheses for mitigating or eliminating identified patterns in telecom and mobile money operations
• Develop and execute initiatives and programs for predictive data analytics of mobile money logs, transactions, and Call Data Records
• Prepare reports and analytics on mobile money fraud trends and develop proactive mitigation strategies to curb or eliminate fraudulent activities
• Implement cyber forensics initiatives to combat mobile money cybercrimes and protect critical systems against cyber-attacks
• Support Information Security initiatives by contributing to cyber security awareness programs, conducting vulnerability assessments, and following up on actions to close identified vulnerabilities
• Maintain partnerships with Ghana Police, Judicial Service, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts in combating mobile financial fraud and supporting the arrest and prosecution of suspected fraudsters through the provision of analytics
• Implement initiatives and programs for review of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) to comply with legal, regulatory, and licensing requirements in Ghana
• Assist in implementing mitigating measures to manage key fraud risks inherent in mobile money operations
