Job Summary

Provide expert advice on activities related to the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to the organization's policies and procedures covering the privacy of and access to personal data. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, telecoms regulations, and the organization's data privacy practices specifically for technical and support functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of data privacy policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with applicable laws such as the Ghana Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843)
• Maintain the company's data inventory and data flow maps, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of personal data processing
• Analyze system architecture and leverage data discovery or classification tools to ensure accurate mapping of personal data processing for technical and support functions
• Conduct and document Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for projects, systems, and services that involve personal data
• Monitor compliance with internal data protection policies and external regulations, and report on potential risks or breaches
• Process and track data subject requests (DSRs) such as access, rectification, and erasure, ensuring responses meet regulatory timelines
• Conduct Transfer Risk Assessments and Third Party Risk Assessments, including privacy compliance audits and assessments
• Review API documentation, system interfaces, vendor technical controls, hosting environments, and evidence of data protection compliance
