About the Role
AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is nearing completion of its redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient, and long-term profitable operation. The fully mechanized underground mining operation is designed to produce an average maximum of 5,000 tonnes per day of ore mined.
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional to join our dedicated team as a Shiftboss.

Role Purpose
The Shiftboss role is a regulatory mandated position that leads Quality Assurance and Control to ensure compliance with mining and related legislation. You will manage risks for all underground mining ore extraction, material handling, and underground construction activities to required mine and industry standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Assess risks for all tasks and ensure they are controlled before and during task execution
- Report all incidents and ensure investigations are completed with corrective actions implemented on time
- Act on all corrective actions assigned to you or under your jurisdiction
