Purpose of the Role

The Sewing Specialist will be responsible for producing high-quality garments and accessories, training members in sewing techniques, and contributing to the overall success of our production unit. This role requires expertise in various sewing techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities

Production

• Sew high-quality designs of reusable sanitary pads and accessories according to product specifications and timelines
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer expectations
• Deliver on weekly and monthly production targets
• Maintain and troubleshoot sewing machines and equipment as needed

Training and Mentorship

• Provide hands-on training and mentorship in product making to beneficiaries and other seamstresses
• Develop and implement sewing workshops and skill development sessions
• Assess members' skill levels and provide individualized guidance to improve their sewing abilities

Quality Control

• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
• Implement quality control procedures to minimize errors and ensure consistency

Collaboration and Teamwork

• Work closely with other team members to achieve production goals
