Senior Technical Officer at AGI Energy Service Centre

About the Role

The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) seeks an experienced technical expert to support its Energy Service Centre (ESC) in managing projects and providing renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) advisory and technical services to clients.

The Senior Technical Officer will work in close collaboration with the ESC team and sector stakeholders. You will supervise and support the Technical Officer and report to the Chief Technical Officer of AGI-ESC.

Primary Objective

Support AGI-ESC's operations to enhance its service portfolio and generate income through its projects.

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Building & Advisory Services

• Improve capacities of commercial and industrial (C&I) companies in planning their renewable energy and energy efficiency investments
• Develop, organise, and facilitate technical and advisory services and training for C&I companies and service providers
• Assist in structuring and amending AGI-ESC's technical activities, services, trainings, and other products to market services to existing and potential clients

Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with project partners, donors, and other stakeholders in the design and execution of projects

Client Acquisition

• Conduct personal selling and direct marketing efforts to acquire C&I clients
• Draft agreements and contracts

Project Implementation

• Carry out and/or supervise RE feasibility studies and EE audits at C&I facilities
• Provide transaction advisory to assist companies in realising their projects through tenders and other mechanisms
• Conduct owner's engineering and quality control of third-party project implementers
• Prepare reports for clients, AGI, donors, and other project partners

Additional Duties

• Assist in the design and preparation of training and other activities
• Assist in any other assignment by AGI-ESC and AGI as required
