Senior Safeguarding Officer at CAMFED – Campaign for Female Education

Position Overview

The Senior Safeguarding Officer is responsible for upholding CAMFED's zero-tolerance stance on sexual exploitation, abuse, discrimination, and harassment. This role involves ensuring the organization promotes safe environments and upholds the rights and safety of marginalized girls and young women. The Senior Safeguarding Officer provides technical and strategic guidance on safeguarding policies and serves as the primary contact for staff regarding safeguarding concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, update, and implement safeguarding policies
• Provide technical and strategic guidance on safeguarding matters
• Serve as the primary contact for staff regarding safeguarding concerns
• Promote safe environments across the organization
• Ensure the rights and safety of marginalized girls and young women are upheld
