Job description
## Title: Senior Public Relations Officer
Job Purpose
To provide technical and operational support for the efficient and effective performance of public relations functions of the Agency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collate data for the formulation of policies
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate programmes and activities of the Unit
- Undertake public education and sensitization on the Board's policies, programmes, and activities
- Supervise travel arrangements for Agency staff and guests
- Supervise the organization of public education activities
- Provide inputs for the organization and celebration of national and international events
- Coordinate the development and publication of public awareness materials
- Prepare press releases and organize media briefings
- Supervise the collation of data for the development of communication products
- Provide inputs for website updates
- Develop and update the database on stakeholders
- Prepare annual work plans and budgets for the Unit
- Prepare annual and periodic reports of the Unit
- Supervise and appraise the performance of immediate subordinate staff
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mass Communication, Communication Studies, International Relations, Social Science, or a related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
- Minimum of four (4) years post-bachelor's degree relevant work experience in a reputable organization
- Membership of a relevant professional body (advantageous)
Required Competencies
- Knowledge and understanding of Ghana's Public Administration System
- Strong knowledge of Public Relations principles and practices
