Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Legal Manager to provide expert legal advisory services and identify, minimize, and mitigate legal risk within our organization. This role manages the company's contractual arrangements, including drafting, review, structuring, and ensuring that business practices, policies, and activities align with Ghana's legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage legal risk across the business by providing expert legal advice to all departments
• Manage the implementation of legal processes relating to drafting, negotiations, and commercial agreements
• Oversee the creation of contract templates and checklists, incorporating relevant company policies
• Draft and provide advice on company contracts, including supplier agreements, employment contracts, and departmental authentication documents
• Manage ongoing litigation, dispute resolution, and settlement matters in conjunction with external solicitors
• Identify and remedy complex legal issues within the organization
• Lead the creation and maintenance of a proactive legal dossier
• Provide advisory support to Management and employees in identifying and managing potential legal risks
• Coordinate legal compliance monitoring and direct risk management efforts across daily operations, including management controls, Ghana law compliance, disclosure issues, reporting requirements, and corporate governance
• Support implementation of internal company policies
• Provide strategic input in efforts to influence governmental and regulatory policies affecting the company's business

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Law
• Professional Law certification
