About Our Africa Operations

Newmont's Africa Operations manages two gold mining operations in Ghana:

• Ahafo Mine located in the Brong-Ahafo region
• Akyem Mine located in the Eastern region

The operations also conduct near-mine exploration and development activities to annually replace gold reserves, along with early-stage exploration programs in Ethiopia and Morocco.

Community Development Commitment
