## Title: Sales Manager (Retail)

Position Overview

Sanlam Insurance is seeking a Sales Manager (Retail) to lead our expanding retail channel. You will be responsible for driving sustained market growth through exceptional customer experience, enabling individuals and families to achieve financial confidence and live with greater peace of mind.

Job Purpose

Lead the retail sales channel to deliver sustained market growth founded on delightful and reliable customer experience, while building a high-performing team of advisors committed to excellence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to deliver retail market growth objectives
  • Attract, train, support, and retain an engaged and motivated team of sales advisors
  • Ensure delivery of productivity budgets aligned with sales mix and key business imperatives
  • Build market pipelines, open new markets, and lead advisors to meet productivity targets
  • Gather customer, industry, and stakeholder feedback to drive service and offering improvements for the retail market segment
  • Demonstrate decisive, entrepreneurial leadership to build and sustain a performance excellence culture aligned with Sanlam's core values
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by your line manager

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma qualification in Insurance from a recognized institution
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience in financial services, leading sales teams
  • Proven track record of successful sales team leadership
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional and ethical standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or HND in Marketing, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
