Position Overview

A newly built hospital in the GA South District is seeking a Resident Medical Officer. The successful applicant will reside within the hospital premises, perform on-call duties, and provide care for in-patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Reside within hospital premises and perform on-call duties
• Attend to and manage in-patients
• Perform minor surgical interventions
• Perform obstetric and gynecological interventions
• Demonstrate proficiency with referral and gatekeeper systems of healthcare delivery

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council in good standing
• Minimum of 3 years post-housemanship experience
• Ability to perform minor surgical and obstetric/gynecological interventions
• Computer literacy

Required Skills & Attributes

• Excellent team player with emotional intelligence
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Knowledge of referral and gatekeeper healthcare systems
