Position Overview
IPA's country office in Ghana is seeking an intern to work closely with the Associate Research Manager in the project development team. You will support the team while gaining valuable insight and experience in project development and management. In addition to real-world experience, you will be exposed to several of IPA's teams and benefit from tailored training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust sector literature reviews and notes through desk research and stakeholder interviews
- Scope new research topics, including possible field work and stakeholder meetings
- Develop technical narratives and budgets for grant proposals
- Support administrative and organizational functions of the project development team, including:
- Entering records into Salesforce
- Tracking the status of proposals
- Researching funding opportunities and donors
- Taking notes at meetings
- Developing new tools and systems for efficient workflow
- Work with data sets, preparing and running codes for data cleaning and management using STATA when necessary
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or completing a Master's Degree in Economics, International Development, Public Policy, or related fields
- Strong candidates in their final year of undergraduate study will be considered
