Programme Officer – Wash at IRC

About the Role

IRC is seeking a Programme Officer – WASH to join our team in the Ahafo Region, Ghana. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programming across the district and region.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake project management with partners
• Implement field-level activities of projects in the Ahafo Region
• Support research and studies initiatives
• Support learning and knowledge management at the district and regional level through District and Regional Learning Alliance Platforms
• Submit quality and timely reports on project implementation
• Support business development and fundraising efforts
• Submit quality and timely reports for IRC reporting requirements
• Manage the District Hub office

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Good basic knowledge and understanding of main concepts and trends in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector
• Relevant experience in research (design, data analysis, and report writing) and policy analysis
• Demonstrated experience in learning and knowledge management and networking
• Proven field work coordination experience
• Fluent in English with strong writing skills; proficiency in a local language is preferred
• Willingness to work in a district setting and travel nationally and internationally

Contract Details

The selected candidate will initially be offered a one-year contract with a six-month probation period. The contract is renewable subject to good performance.
