About the Organization
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is an Incorporated Administrative Agency of Japan which implements Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) to developing countries. JICA has been cooperating with Ghana for more than 60 years, delivering programs and projects across the health, education, agriculture, private sector, infrastructure, and governance sectors.
Position Overview
JICA Ghana Office is seeking one (1) qualified and experienced Program Specialist in Private Sector Development and related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate projects based on discussions and negotiations with government officers, development partners, and related stakeholders
- Implement or assist in the implementation of JICA's projects with office members, JICA headquarters staff, experts, and government officials
- Support JICA missions and sector experts through various arrangements and logistical work, including procurement, official documentation, internal procedures, and travel coordination
- Maintain regular communication with office members, Japanese experts, Ghanaian government counterparts, and development partners
- Collect, analyze, summarize, evaluate, and report on information and policies related to the private sector and related sectors through meeting participation, summaries, minutes, and formal reports
