About the Position
Pentecost University is seeking to appoint a Chair or Associate Chair (Professor / Associate Professor) in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering or Digital Systems Simulation to join our vibrant research group at our international digital centre. The successful candidate will develop and supervise PhD research students and Research Fellows in the lifecycle engineering of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and supervise PhD research students and Research Fellows
- Lead lifecycle engineering research in advanced manufacturing processes
- Travel internationally for research meetings and presentations to organizations such as the European Commission
- Co-supervise internal and external PhD researchers and Research Fellows
- Direct the research agenda and strategy for innovative manufacturing initiatives in Ghana
- Present research group findings at international forums
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a related engineering discipline
- Postdoctoral experience at the level of Senior Lecturer, Senior Research Fellow, or Professor
Desirable Experience and Attributes
- Distinguished knowledge in advanced or digital systems simulation
- Expertise in lifecycle modelling
- Demonstrated experience leading research teams
- Technical project leadership experience
- International project management experience
- Strong publication record in relevant areas
- Proficiency with modelling software such as DELMIA, APRIORI, and other lifecycle analysis tools
- Knowledge in software creation and integration of engineering applications
- Excellent grant writing skills
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours including weekends
