Job description

## Title: Principal Programmes Officer

Job Purpose

To provide technical and operational support for the efficient and effective performance of the programme functions of the Agency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise the collation of data for the formulation of policies
  • Supervise the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programmes and activities of the Unit
  • Supervise the development, implementation and review of corporate policies, procedures, regulations and protocols
  • Supervise the design and implementation of programmes in response to emerging issues
  • Supervise the development and implementation of programme proposals of the Agency
  • Supervise the preparation of the annual work plan and budget of the Unit
  • Supervise the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Unit
  • Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Statistics, Project Management or any related discipline from a recognized university or institution
  • Minimum of six (6) years of post-bachelor's degree relevant work experience in a reputable organization
