Job description
## Title: Principal Officer, Research Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation
Job Purpose
To provide technical and operational support in research for the achievement of the organization's mandate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inputs for the formulation of organizational policies
- Supervise the analysis of research data and preparation of draft research reports
- Oversee the dissemination of research reports to relevant stakeholders
- Supervise the collation of data for the preparation of guidelines, procedures, and processes in programme and activity implementation
- Develop and monitor performance indicators for tracking organizational progress
- Supervise data analysis for monitoring activities and evaluation of results
- Oversee the preparation of strategic, medium-term, and annual organizational plans
- Supervise the preparation of draft monitoring and evaluation reports
- Ensure effective maintenance of comprehensive databases on unit programmes and activities
- Supervise the preparation of annual work plans for the unit
- Collate data for budget preparation and oversee budget development processes
- Supervise the preparation of annual and periodic reports of the unit
- Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff
- Collaborate closely with officers across departments to support organizational objectives
