About the Position
Ada Rural Bank PLC is seeking a qualified Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead banking operations across our branches and drive business growth in the rural banking sector.
Job Summary
The Operations Manager reports to the CEO and is responsible for implementing robust banking operational functions throughout the bank and its branches. The ideal candidate will lead branch teams in developing and maintaining business relationships, deploying financial solutions, acquiring new customers, and deepening existing client relationships.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate, supervise, monitor, and control all branches and self-service channels (ATMs, mobile banking, apps, internet banking, etc.) to deliver value propositions for various customer segments
- Ensure that central processing operations are carried out in line with regulatory requirements and standard practices while pursuing the bank's business objectives
- Review and develop, in consultation with management, standard operating policies and procedures
- Prepare reconciliation statements for all internal and suspense accounts
- Investigate and resolve anomalies or outstanding items on internal and suspense account reconciliation statements
- Supervise and monitor treasury management functions, including cash evacuations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Banking
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar operations management role
- Master's Degree or professional qualifications in banking or related fields (ACIB, ACCA, ICAG, etc.) — preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of banking principles and rural banking operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
