Microfinance Field Officer (Field Work) at Reputable Community Bank

About the Position

A fast-growing Community Bank in the Central Region is seeking a highly motivated Microfinance Field Officer to support microfinance development and loan operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market surveys to promote the bank's microfinance loan products and services to potential communities
• Perform community entry and prospecting of new clients
• Facilitate groups to strengthen microfinance development initiatives
• Facilitate loan disbursement to groups in accordance with budgetary estimates and ensure 100% loan recovery
• Identify and assess the financial needs of clients and provide appropriate solutions
• Evaluate loan applications and assess the creditworthiness of potential clients
• Process loan applications and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations
• Provide financial literacy education to clients to enhance their understanding of financial concepts and management
• Establish, develop, and maintain excellent relationships with clients
• Ensure correct and timely booking of loans
• Discuss and communicate loan terms with clients
• Reconcile field records and group journals
• Prepare monthly reports for coordinator and management
• Undertake additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Marketing, or related field (Bachelor's degree is an advantage)
• Fair knowledge of T24 banking software and general computer skills
• Excellent understanding of lending procedures
• Strong group formation and management skills
• Honesty and high sense of integrity with knowledge of community dynamics
• Customer-oriented approach and good communication skills in local languages
