Position Overview

Matrix Innovation Limited is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee all aspects of agricultural operations in Accra, Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing operations, crops, livestock, staff, and financial documents, recommending improvements
• Prepare plans and schedules for planting and harvesting, ensuring staff understands expectations
• Visit different divisions to inspect crops and livestock, and perform tests on soil and water quality
• Ensure seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked
• Schedule repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery
• Handle marketing and sale of farm products including fruit, vegetables, dairy, meat, and grain
• Ensure all staff adheres to health and safety regulations
• Assist with recruitment and training of new staff members
• Collaborate with senior staff to prepare budgets and financial reports
• Build professional networks and stay current with developments in agricultural science

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, animal science, or equivalent
• 10+ years of work experience in agricultural operations
• Management experience (preferred)
• Additional courses in business management or administration (recommended)
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to make decisions in stressful environments
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for agriculture
• Willingness to work overtime as required
