Position Overview

This role offers an excellent platform for professional development. As a Farm Supervisor, you will oversee daily farm operations, manage farm workers, and ensure the highest standards of crop quality and safety across all farming activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect crops and fields to determine maturity, yield, and work requirements such as cultivating, weeding, or harvesting
• Direct and assist in the repair and proper working of machines and equipment used on the farms
• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of farm workers and laborers
• Assess, suggest, and help implement work procedures that benefit the business
• Oversee sorting and handling of produce to ensure the highest possible quality of products
• Plan and supervise planting, cultivating, harvesting, and storing of field and garden crops
• Create work schedules and establish procedures; train employees on work site safety
• Evaluate weather and soil conditions to optimize farm operations
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed by all workers at all times
• Perform other duties as instructed by management

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or HND in Agricultural Engineering or related Agriculture field
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a farm supervisor or formal training in agriculture
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to work long hours, early mornings, and weekends if required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical capability for heavy lifting
