Position Overview

A manufacturing company in Tema Industrial Area is seeking a Security Coordinator to join its team of skilled professionals. The successful candidate will coordinate physical security operations, safeguard company assets, and work with third-party security providers to ensure the safety and protection of the facility.

Job Purpose

Coordinate physical security by liaising with and supervising the appointed third-party security provider to safeguard the company's assets within the framework of company policies, security standing orders, and work procedures.

Major Responsibilities

• Recommend, review, and implement security plans and measures to protect and safeguard all company assets
• Conduct daily inspections of the entire factory premises, noting security anomalies, breaches, potential safety hazards, and fire risks; recommend appropriate actions and file reports
• Facilitate and ensure the checking of delivery and loading of items to and from the plant, maintaining detailed records for all purposes and facilitating inquiries in cases of theft, short delivery, or damage
• Liaise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of third-party security personnel on guard duty, including supervision of body searches at the main gate; ensure that physical security provisions, arrangements, and procedures are adequate and effective
• Ensure that third-party security personnel are adequately trained in fire drill procedures and are conversant with the use of firefighting safety equipment
• Mount special surveillance when required to avert theft or sabotage; set up investigations into cases of theft or property damage and submit reports to management for action
• Maintain good working relationships with local law enforcement agencies such as the Police, Military, and BNI to facilitate cooperation when needed
