Position Overview

Mantrac Ghana LTD is seeking a motivated Health, Safety & Environment Officer to join our team in Accra. In this role, you will ensure that all safety policies and practices align with Mantrac Group's safety vision, global best practices, and worldwide standards.

Key Objectives

• Ensure all safety policies and practices align with Mantrac Group's safety vision, principles, and worldwide best practices
• Provide detailed reports regarding incidents, risk assessment, and safety performance
• Develop procedures for managing and disposing of hazardous substances
• Develop, monitor, and continuously improve Health, Safety, and Environment procedures for the branch

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead safety and toolbox talks
• Develop and implement procedures for managing and disposing of hazardous substances
• Develop comprehensive standard operating procedures for branch operations
• Ensure safe working and environmental practices are strictly followed across all operations
• Review and update safe working procedures as necessary
• Maintain up-to-date records of all health, safety, and environmental issues
• Ensure compliance with global health, safety, and environmental standards

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification
• IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) and/or OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) Lead Auditor Certification and/or Internal Auditor Certification (advantageous)
• BSc in Engineering (advantageous)
• Thorough knowledge of worldwide health, safety, and environmental procedures
