Position Overview

SDDUBIDS invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill Lecturer positions across the university.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and delivery of course content
• Research, technology adaptation, and innovation
• Publication of academic work
• Curriculum development
• Setting and marking assignments and examination questions
• Invigilation of examinations
• Submitting marked scripts and results
• Supervision of student project work, dissertations, and theses
• Providing academic counseling to students
• Assisting in departmental administration
• Supervision of student internships and industry visits
• Mentoring of junior colleagues
• Extension work and service to the university and nation
• Other duties assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or designated representative

Required Qualifications and Experience

• PhD in the relevant field of specialization
• Appreciable industrial experience or skill in Competency-Based Training (CBT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Two to three academic publications
• Membership of a recognized professional body
