About the Position

The Department of Plant and Environmental Biology under the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Ghana invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position in Plant Taxonomy.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Plant Taxonomy and related Basic Plant Science courses
Conduct research in Plant Systematics using classical and molecular approaches
Contribute to the development and promotion of the Plant Systematic programme
Pursue research grants and funding opportunities
Collaborate effectively within a team environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Plant Science or related discipline
PhD in Plant Systematics
Expertise in both Classical and Molecular Systematics
Age not exceeding 45 years at time of application

Required Skills & Attributes

Strong capacity for team-based work
Research excellence and grantsmanship
Ability to teach multiple plant science courses
Knowledge of state-of-the-art research methodologies
