About the Position

The Department of Plant and Environmental Biology under the School of Biological Sciences, University of Ghana invites applications from qualified professionals for a full-time position as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Plant Physiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Plant Physiology and other Basic Plant Science courses
• Develop and promote the Plant Tissue Culture programme
• Conduct state-of-the-art research in plant physiology
• Pursue grant funding and scholarly activities
• Work collaboratively within the department and broader academic community

Required Qualifications

• BSc. in Plant Science or related discipline
• PhD in Plant Physiology
• Expertise in Tissue Culture and/or Classical Plant Physiology

Required Experience & Attributes

• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to teach multiple basic plant science courses
• Track record in research and grantsmanship
