About the Position

The Department of Plant and Environmental Biology under the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Ghana invites applications from qualified professionals for a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position in Plant Genetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Plant Genetics and other Basic Plant Science courses
• Conduct state-of-the-art research in Plant Genetics
• Contribute to the development of the Plant Anatomy programme
• Pursue grant funding and research opportunities
• Work collaboratively within the department and broader academic community

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Plant Science or related discipline
• PhD in Plant Genetics with expertise in Classical Genetics
• Demonstrated capacity for teamwork and collaborative research
• Ability to teach multiple Plant Science courses
• Must not exceed 45 years of age at the time of application
