LCS Bus Driver at Lincoln Community School

Position Summary

The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of children to and from Lincoln Community School to their residences. This is a full-time driving position requiring exceptional attention to safety, security, and adherence to all regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the school bus safely, transporting children to and from school to their residences in accordance with the bus schedule
• Undertake additional school-related driving duties as assigned
• Ensure children's security and safety at all times
• Operate the vehicle in accordance with all road traffic regulations
• Promptly report all vehicle faults and maintenance issues
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections

Required Qualifications

• Secondary School leaving certificate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (Minimum Class C)

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience for an organization
• Minimum 3 years of experience driving a Class C sized vehicle or larger
• Working knowledge of health and safety requirements for bus drivers
• Experience providing customer service
• Working knowledge of road safety regulations concerning children
• Experience dealing with customer complaints

• Good command of English language – reading, writing, and verbal communication
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with parents, colleagues, and school staff
• Demonstrable ability to adhere to guidelines and policies
