Position Overview
The Head of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) will formulate, lead, and implement ICT strategies to enhance KAIPTC's standing and awareness both internally and externally. This role drives both strategic ICT planning and day-to-day operational services, ensuring that KAIPTC's staff and clients have appropriate, current technical resources, applications, and support to achieve their objectives effectively, securely, and with competitive advantage.
The jobholder will deliver a robust and reliable ICT infrastructure, providing a technical platform that enables KAIPTC to consistently achieve its business objectives.
Department Information
- Department: Administration
- Reports to: Director of Administration
- Supervises: All staff in the ICT Unit
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee and be directly accountable for the reliability of the entire KAIPTC ICT infrastructure
- Manage day-to-day tactical network, security systems, and operations for LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice systems
- Ensure proper functioning of the Centre's enterprise systems
- Develop and maintain an ICT services management framework
- Develop and communicate a performance measurement and monitoring framework
- Assist in the procurement of information systems, equipment, and services
- Develop and update IT security guidance plans and ensure responsible user management of IT security policies
- Evaluate user needs and ensure ICT facilities meet these needs through timely and consistent information technology support, including email services, print services, internet services, and anti-virus protection
