Internal Auditor at La Community Bank LTD

Role Summary

La Community Bank LTD seeks a qualified Internal Auditor to manage the audit function and ensure efficient systems of control and compliance are in place and working across all sections of the bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the audit function
• Establish and maintain efficient systems of control and compliance
• Monitor compliance across all bank sections

Required Qualifications

• First degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or similar qualification from a recognised university
• Certification as an Internal Auditor, Chartered Accountant, or second degree in Auditing/Accounting
• Minimum 7 years of auditing experience, with at least 5 years in the financial services industry
• Proficiency in accounting software
• System audit experience (preferred)

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent knowledge of banking operations
• Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks (local and international), including ITRS reporting, BASEL 2, and other international standards
• Extensive working knowledge of auditing standards and regulations
• Bank of Ghana regulations and guidelines
• Operations of rural and community banks
• Current developments and trends in the financial services industry
