Internal Auditor at Ghana International Business School (GiBS)

About the Role

Ghana International Business School (GiBS) is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our client, a class 'A' construction company, based in Accra. This is a full-time position for a dedicated professional with proven expertise in internal audit and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust internal control framework in line with the organization's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements
• Continuously assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across all departments and investment functions
• Collaborate with risk management to identify and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks
• Monitor all disbursements, income inflows, and investment transactions to detect irregularities or non-compliance
• Ensure judicious use of resources at various project sites
• Ensure relevant policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are strictly adhered to

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role in internal control or audit
• Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field
• Relevant professional certification such as CIA, CISA, CA, ACCA, or IIA
• Good understanding of public financial management laws in Ghana, including the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) and Public Procurement Act 2016
• Proficiency in accounting software
• High integrity and professional ethics

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience within the real estate or construction industry
