About the Position
The University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Institute Registrar.
Job Summary
The Institute Registrar is responsible to the Rector of a constituent institute and subject to directives the Registrar may issue from time to time. The Institute Registrar serves as the Head of General Administration of the constituent institute and is a non-voting member of the Institute Board. This role serves as Secretary to the Institute Board and other standing boards and committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead general administration of the constituent institute
- Serve as Secretary to the Institute Board and standing committees
- Support the Rector in institutional governance and operations
- Manage strategic and operational administration matters
Required Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a postgraduate degree in a relevant area with experience in public administration
- Have at least 10 years of post-qualification senior-level experience, preferably in higher education
- Demonstrate high-level analytical skills, business acumen, and deep understanding of strategic and operational issues in top-level university management and administration
- Have served or currently serve as Deputy Registrar or Deputy Director (with relevant university administration experience) or equivalent grade in a university or analogous institution
- Have served as Senior Assistant Registrar for at least 5 years
Employment Terms
- Full-time appointment for 3 years in the first instance
- Eligible for renewal for another term of 2 years or part thereof
- Position subject to compulsory statutory retirement age of 60
