Institute Internal Auditor at University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC)

Job Summary

The Institute Internal Auditor is responsible to the Rector for the assurance of good governance, risk management, compliance, and financial administration of the constituent institute. The position is subject to directives issued by the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and the Director of Internal Audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure good governance within the institute
• Oversee risk management and compliance functions
• Monitor financial administration of the constituent institute

Required Qualifications

• Relevant postgraduate degree
• Professional accounting or finance qualifications
• Membership in a relevant professional accounting and/or finance body, preferably:
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Internal Auditor
• Minimum 10 years of post-professional qualification experience in:
  • A university or analogous institution (preferably as Deputy Director of Finance), OR
  • A highly reputable and recognized practicing accounting firm
  • Industry, commerce, or public service

Contract Terms

Full-time appointment for an initial 3-year term. This may be subject to renewal for an additional 2-year term or part thereof, but not beyond the compulsory retirement age of 60.

Remuneration

Conditions of service are as applicable in Government of Ghana subvented Universities.
