Position Overview
Imani Africa is seeking a Research Assistant to join our research team in Ho, Ghana. This position is ideal for recent graduates (within 5 years of graduation) with strong potential to develop into a top-notch researcher. We particularly welcome applicants who can commit to a two-year tenure.
As a Research Assistant, you will collaborate closely with our research team on projects in public economics and energy economics. You will be involved in all stages of the research process and are expected to work independently within the scope of your responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or any other quantitatively-oriented field from a Ghanaian University
- Strong analytical, organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Self-motivation and ability to learn independently (training will be provided)
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on research design and conduct data analysis
- Interpret research results and findings
- Create survey and polling instruments, including questionnaires
- Draft and edit reports, manuscripts, and presentations
