About the Role
A Reputable Financial Institution in the Eastern Region is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Human Resources Officer to supervise human capital management, ensure effective recruitment and talent management, maintain positive employee relations, and ensure organizational compliance with relevant legislation. The successful candidate will uphold policies and procedures consistent with the bank's vision, corporate objectives, and industry best practices.
Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations, from recruitment and employee relations to compliance and benefit administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures consistent with relevant Labour Laws and legislation
- Ensure effective and consistent implementation of HR policies, Board decisions, and organizational strategies
- Collaborate with departmental heads to identify staffing needs, participate in the selection process, and conduct pre-employment checks
- Develop manpower planning strategies and ensure equitable resource allocation across the organization
- Manage employee industrial relations issues and foster a harmonious working environment
- Ensure compliance with the Labour Act 2003 (Act 651), the ARB Apex Bank regulations (LI 1825, 2006), and other relevant legislation and directives
- Manage, maintain, and update staff records while ensuring confidentiality
- Address performance-related issues and facilitate performance improvement processes
- Oversee the administration of employee benefit programmes
- Work with benefit providers to ensure competitive and cost-effective packages
- Perform other official duties as required
