Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Health, Safety and Environmental Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors on our construction sites. You will play a crucial role in conducting risk assessments, training programs, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Assist in the development and implementation of health, safety and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local and international regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with site managers and engineers to implement effective control measures
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors, including toolbox talks and inductions
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for preventive measures
• Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and ensure company compliance
• Collaborate with project teams to develop emergency response plans and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
