Grants and Research Manager at Heritage Christian College

About the Role

Heritage Christian College seeks a Grants and Research Manager to identify and maintain research grant sources, coordinate proposal development, and secure external funding opportunities for the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain research grant sources and disseminate research funding opportunities
• Coordinate the setup of proposal development teams and provide pre-award support
• Prepare contracts and portfolios for research, grants, and consultancies
• Maintain a complete and accurate database of contracts for sub-awards, research, grants, and consultancies
• Seek and manage HCC's registration with international institutions that have research grant and grant platforms
• Review proposals for completeness and compliance with national and institutional regulations, policies, guidelines, and administrative, financial, and programmatic reporting requirements
• Liaise with principal investigators, subcontractors, sponsored project offices, and funding agencies
• Link industry with researchers and establish funding mechanisms
• Identify linkages between philanthropic individuals and agencies with HCC
• Maintain links with industry players and keep a complete and accurate database on industry partnerships
• Seek patent registration for innovative works
• Identify industry linkages to commercialize innovative research findings
• Prepare policy briefs for engagement with national policymakers
• Identify, coordinate, and compile research business development and strategic research plans of faculty, staff, and students

Required Qualifications

• Postgraduate university degree in a relevant discipline
• Extensive experience in sourcing and securing external grants

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional qualification in Project Management, International Development, Research Administration, Marketing, or Business Administration
