Position Overview

The Ghana News Agency (GNA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, result-driven, competent, and dynamic professionals to fill the position of Marketing Officer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement approved policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work plans, and support systems to manage the Business Development & Marketing Department
• Execute approved marketing and sales initiatives and plans to market and sell the Company's products and services, meeting client requirements and expectations while developing new business relationships
• Assist in the preparation of advertisement designs and media concepts for clients
• Ensure prompt payment of placed advertisements and timely delivery of contracts
• Solicit services for the Agency
• Collaborate with the Finance Department in collecting debts from advertising and subscription clients
• Liaise with the Finance Department in monitoring rent proceeds
• Keep and update records on advertising and subscription business activities
• Provide input in formulating new products and services from inception through launch to meet growing and changing customer needs
• Coordinate and monitor sales activities to improve revenue growth, expand business, and enhance sales productivity
• Monitor and identify areas of concern for marketing and sales, proposing corrective actions to address issues and maximize profitability
• Maintain and update data on sales activities and clientele for easy accessibility and information retrieval
• Build and maintain a network of contacts to support the Business Development & Marketing Team operations
• Prepare monthly and periodic reports on all sales and marketing activities
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Superior Officer

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
