The Ghana News Agency (GNA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, result-driven, competent, and dynamic professionals to fill the vacant position of Marketing Officer.

Position Overview

As a Marketing Officer, you will play a key role in managing the Business Development & Marketing Department, implementing marketing and sales strategies, and driving revenue growth for the Agency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement approved policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work plans, and other support systems to manage the Business Development & Marketing Department
• Implement approved marketing and sales initiatives/plans to market and sell the Company's products and services to meet client requirements and expectations, while developing new business relationships
• Assist in the preparation of advertisement designs and media concepts for clients
• Ensure prompt payment of placed advertisements and fast delivery of contracts
• Solicit services for the Agency
• Collaborate with the Finance Department in collecting debts from advertising and subscription clients
• Liaise with the Finance Department in monitoring rent proceeds
• Maintain and update records on advertising and subscription business
• Provide input in formulating new products and services from inception to launch to meet growing and changing customer needs
• Coordinate and monitor sales activities to improve and optimize revenue growth, expand business, and improve sales productivity
• Monitor and identify areas of concern for marketing and sales, and propose corrective actions to address concerns and maximize profitability
• Maintain and update data on sales activities and clientele for easy accessibility and retrieval of information
• Build and maintain a network of contacts to support Business Development & Marketing Team operations
• Prepare monthly and periodic reports on all sales and marketing activities
• Perform any other duties assigned by Superior Officer

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field
