General Manager, Financial Operations at MTN Ghana

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing an efficient and standardized financial operations and planning department that defines standards and drives strategic planning, objective and target setting for Scancom Plc and Mobile Money Ltd. You will support the executive committee with strategic decision-making processes to ensure appropriate accounting, resource allocation, financial forecasting, planning, and reporting in accordance with IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and advice in the formulation and development of finance operations' framework, policies, and guidelines
• Ensure compliance of operations with MTN Group policies and procedures
• Oversee end-to-end financial operations activities for Scancom Plc and Mobile Money Limited, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledgers, financial processing, reporting, fixed assets, and record-keeping
• Lead supervision of all company functions on budgetary control and ensure accurate expense reporting
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and laws within the Financial Operations department's scope of responsibilities
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures
• Lead and collaborate with other business units in developing business models and measurement strategies to support ongoing strategy development and project optimization
• Initiate and monitor processes to minimize revenue losses in the company
• Drive increased shareholder return by ensuring finance processes are aligned to achieving all business scorecard elements, including market share growth, ICT and data revenue growth, and EBITDA margin increases
