Job description
## Title: Finance Officer
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Finance Officer to join our team in Accra, Ghana. This is a full-time position in our Accounting department.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collate and analyze data for annual budget preparation and generate budget variance analysis reports
- Maintain chart of accounts, code structures, and classifications
- Maintain and update fixed asset register
- Review and post accounting transactions into the general ledger and reconcile with appropriate sub-ledgers
- Vet, certify, and process invoices through the accounting system for payment
- Process monthly payroll for employees and prepare monthly payroll reports
- Prepare and file statutory returns (SSNIT, VAT, PAYE, etc.) and generate tax reports for statutory payment
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements
- Generate financial statements and other management reports
Qualifications & Experience Required
- First Degree from a recognized tertiary institution
- Part II Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana or equivalent
- MBA or MSc Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in finance or accounting
