Finance Manager at IRC Ghana

Position Overview

IRC Ghana is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in Accra. This full-time position is responsible for managing financial operations, donor reporting, and compliance across our projects and organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for funding proposals in collaboration with the resource mobilization team, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and identifying financial risks
• Review, understand, and monitor contractual commitments, including timely invoicing of project costs to partners and donors
• Record administrative flows to provide project management information, including cash flow forecasts
• Prepare financial progress reports and project overviews for donors, ensuring all supporting documents meet donor requirements
• Manage payroll operations to ensure staff salaries are processed timely with all statutory deductions made and paid in accordance with Ghanaian law
• Facilitate statutory and donor-specific audits, ensuring corrective action plans are implemented as planned in collaboration with project teams
• Establish banking relations and arrangements to optimize organization liquidity while minimizing bank charges and related risks
• Prepare end-of-project financial reports, project evaluations, and coordinate project audits
• Ensure complete and proper reporting of project finances for incorporation in IRC's general ledger, quarterly reporting, and annual accounts (including work-in-progress balances and expenditure accruals)
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of information systems (Exact ERP) and General Ledger, and improve financial procedures
• Prepare statutory reports to ensure compliance of financial and operations systems with IRC policies, procedures, and local Ghanaian laws
