Finance Manager at IRC Ghana

About the Role

IRC Ghana is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Accra. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing all financial operations, budget management, donor reporting, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for funding proposals in collaboration with the resource mobilization team, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and identification of financial risks
• Review, understand, and monitor contractual commitments, including timely invoicing of project costs to partners and donors
• Record administrative flows to provide project management information and cash flow forecasts
• Prepare financial progress reports and project overviews for donors, ensuring all supporting documentation meets donor requirements
• Manage payroll operations, ensuring timely salary processing and compliance with Ghana statutory deductions and labor laws
• Facilitate statutory and donor-specific audits, implementing corrective action plans as approved by the Ghana team
• Establish and maintain banking relationships to optimize organizational liquidity and minimize bank charges and financial risks
• Prepare end-of-project financial reports, project evaluations, and coordinate project audits
• Ensure complete and accurate reporting of project finances for IRC's general ledger, quarterly reporting, and annual accounts, including work-in-progress balances and expenditure accruals
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of information systems (Exact ERP) and improvement of financial procedures
• Prepare statutory reports to ensure compliance of financial and operational systems with IRC policies, procedures, and local Ghanaian laws
