## Title: External Auditor – Bawjiase Area Rural Bank
About the Role
Bawjiase Area Rural Bank PLC invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaian audit firms for engagement as External Auditors.
Scope of Work
- Conduct an independent audit of the bank's financial statements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992), and the Banks and Specialised Deposit-taking Institutions Act 2016 (Act 930)
- Undertake extensive auditing of the bank's operational activities, test the adequacy of internal control systems, and provide professional advice as required
- Express an independent opinion on whether the bank's financial statements present a true and fair view of its financial position
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank's internal control and risk management systems and report any weaknesses with recommendations for improvement
- Prepare and present audited financial statements to shareholders at Annual General Meetings (AGM)
- Provide assurance and advisory services as required by the Board
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Duly licensed under the Chartered Accountant Act 1963 (Act 170)
- Member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) (ICAG)
- Recognized and approved by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to provide external audit services for financial institutions
- Proven experience in auditing rural and community banks or other regulated financial institutions
- Demonstrable expertise in external audit, IFRS, and ISA application
- In-depth knowledge of auditing, accounting standards, and relevant regulations and acts governing the financial industry
