About the Organization

Mepe Area Rural Limited is a rural bank based in the Volta Region of Ghana, seeking to engage the services of an external auditor.

Position Overview

The successful firm will be responsible for auditing the financial statements of the Bank and issuing reports in accordance with all statutory requirements on an annual basis.

Key Objectives

• Audit the financial statements of the Bank and issue reports in accordance with all statutory requirements on an annual basis
• Ensure compliance with Section 138 of the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992)
• Maintain recognition as a licensed audit firm in Ghana under the Institute of Chartered Accountants Act 2020 (Act 1058)
• Maintain good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana throughout the engagement

Firm Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years in audit practice
• Minimum of 5 years' experience auditing similar banking institutions
• Sufficient qualified staff to undertake audit assignments at any given time
• Engagement partner with requisite professional qualifications and minimum 10 years of continuous audit experience
• Engagement partner must be a person of high integrity
• Currently in good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana
• Licensed audit firm recognized in Ghana

Required Proposal Documentation

Applicant firms should provide the following:

• Curriculum vitae (CVs) of key personnel involved in the assignment with specific roles clearly defined
• Evidence of similar assignments conducted within the last 2 years, including references
• Technical and financial proposal including detailed methodology, work schedules, and verifiable means of quality assurance
• Current Tax clearance certificates
• Current SSNIT clearance certificates
