About the Role

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering and construction quality assurance for the USAID Accra Densification Project in Accra, Ghana. This full-time position involves renovation and fit-out work with technical oversight responsibilities. Construction experience is preferred, along with aptitude in Fire Alarm and Mechanical Systems.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance tasks, including contractor work inspection and corrective action oversight
• Verify that materials meet contract specifications and review contractor submittals for compliance
• Resolve conflicts between design requirements and construction execution
• Monitor the construction contractor's quality assurance and safety programs
• Observe onsite construction to ensure proper installation, formation, and execution of construction elements
• Monitor construction progress against the project schedule and submit weekly progress reports with technical recommendations
• Perform technical inspections of electrical elements and electrical work throughout the project
• Review and monitor the contractor's quality control program
• Review project drawings and specifications to ensure electrical work compliance
• Support project completion in accordance with contract requirements
• Ensure contractor performance aligns with design documents
• Read and interpret design/construction drawings and understand design narratives and calculations
• Review engineering shop drawings to verify contractor compliance with final design parameters
