Position Overview

The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Director, Sports Directorate. This is a full-time administrative role reporting to the Registrar.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of sports and related activities within the university
• Organize and manage sporting events
• Liaise with external sports organisations and represent the university on external sporting bodies
• Oversee the management and operations of the Sports Directorate
• Advise the Academic Board on matters relating to the award of academic credit for students' participation in sports
• Organize sports clinics for members of the university community
• Prepare university teams for sporting events
• Discharge other assignments as directed by the Registrar

Required Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Sports Management, Sports Administration, Education, or other relevant field disciplines
• Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification work experience
