## Title: Director, Regional Institute for Population Studies

Position Overview

The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Director, Regional Institute for Population Studies. This full-time position is effective from 1st August 2025.

Reports to: Provost, College of Humanities

About the College of Humanities

The College of Humanities advances the objectives of each of its constituent units through the following commitments:

  • Develop world-class graduates to meet national and global developmental needs through quality teaching, learning, and research
  • Create synergies for interdisciplinary teaching, learning, and research in the Arts, Social Sciences, Business, and Law
  • Create a congenial environment for memorable teaching, learning, and research experiences for faculty and students
  • Enhance the research capabilities and output of faculty, students, and other employees
  • Establish and promote the internationalization of the College's programmes and courses of study
  • Enhance employee capacity through systematic staff development programmes
  • Develop effective processes for public engagement through extension services, policy development, and advocacy
  • Coordinate the mobilization of resources for the College

Key Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the Regional Institute for Population Studies.
