Director of Pharmaceutical Services at The Trust Hospital

About the Role

The Trust Hospital is seeking a Director of Pharmaceutical Services to lead the pharmacy division. This is a full-time position based in Accra, Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a transformative vision for pharmaceutical services across the organization
• Lead performance management and recruitment for the pharmacy team, ensuring high quality and operationally efficient services
• Establish and maintain systems to identify, communicate, and manage incidents safely
• Achieve financial and key quality targets for pharmaceutical services
• Ensure efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of the manufacturing unit with plans to scale production
• Oversee the effective functioning of medicines and therapeutic committees
• Submit timely periodic reports on pharmaceutical activities
• Provide technical advice for procurement of medicines and pharmaceuticals
• Coordinate research and development activities in pharmaceutical services
• Prepare department plans and budget

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with registration as a pharmacist
• Postgraduate qualification at Master's level or higher
• Minimum 5 years working experience at senior managerial level
• Evidence of leadership development and continuing professional development in management

Advantageous Qualifications

• Certificate or Master's degree in Business Administration
• Training in quality improvement methodologies
